Job Description: As a 2D Animator at Icarus, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and visually appealing animations for a variety of projects, including cartoons, advertisements, explainer videos, and more. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and innovative environment, utilizing your animation skills to contribute to the success of our studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Animation Production: Conceptualize, design, and produce 2D animations, including character animations, motion graphics, and special effects, using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony).
• Storyboarding: Collaborate with the creative team to develop storyboards and animatics that visually convey the narrative and pacing of animations.
• Character Design: Create and refine character designs, ensuring they are consistent with the project's style and vision.
• Timing and Motion: Perfect the timing and motion of animated sequences to create compelling and fluid animations.
• Sound Integration: Sync animations with audio tracks, including dialogue, music, and sound effects.
• Quality Control: Review and revise animations based on feedback and ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other animators, artists, and designers to maintain project consistency and meet deadlines.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends and new animation techniques to continually enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to the team.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Proven experience in 2D animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony).
• Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, and squash and stretch.
• Creative mindset with the ability to bring characters and stories to life.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of 3D animation is a plus but not required.
