Your Role
The Associate Director of B2B HIT Marketing Communications position requires an expert marcom professional with global experience and proven abilities to create and execute measurable and impactful communications that directly support business objectives and drive stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate has extensive B2B marketing communication experience, has exceptional expertise developing effective content that feeds the Inbound Marketing funnel; and is action-oriented, accountable, and eager to apply their interviewing and storytelling skills to multi-faceted B2B HIT communications strategies, programs, and related content.
The ideal candidate is a highly skilled B2B HIT marketer, effective communicator, and excellent writer who is accustomed to working collaboratively with highly matrixed teams to align marketing communications strategy towards common goals and outputs. This individual will serve as a consultant to connect the dots between the business strategy and the voice of the customer to take our inbound marketing to the next level.
This role is based in the US and collaborates with teams internationally in the US, India, UAE, UK, and other geographic regions. Our headquarters is based in San Francisco, CA, but remote candidates from across the United States are welcome to apply. Local candidates have the option to work in a hybrid model with some or all days working from our San Francisco office.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing with a dotted line to the VP of Content Marketing.
A Day in the Life
- Build long-term partnerships across the organization by serving as a primary point of contact for B2B HIT marketing communications. Work with marketing, sales, and SME leaders to ideate, plan, develop, and collaboratively produce effective marketing communications content.
- Lead the production, editing, review, approval, and publishing for a wide variety of provocative, engaging B2B HIT marcomm content intended to attract and drive inbound traffic, including but not limited to advertisements, articles, blogs, brochures, case studies, corporate communications, direct mail, ebooks, emails, fact sheets, flyers, infographics, landing pages, pagers, personalized emails, podcast scripts, press releases, reports, social media posts, standees, talking points, trade show displays, video scripts, web pages, white papers, and more.
- Ensure marcomm content and narrative quality, accuracy, and audience focus. Research topics to support claims and assertions with citations to third-party sources. Resolve legal, marketing, SME, and other editorial comments, tracked changes, and reviewer’s inputs on content revisions during the review process.
- Manage day-to-day copy flow for a busy marcomm operation, in collaboration with product marketing, project manager(s), and other members of the marketing team. Track and report on content production pipeline, statuses, and measures. Ensure 80% or greater quarterly roadmap completion. Oversee daily execution of marcom plans, evaluate performance metrics, and use analytics to optimize marketing efforts for maximum return on investment (ROI).
- Provide strategic counsel to colleagues on marketing communications activities, working closely with team members to develop comprehensive marketing plans. Collaborate with the VP of Content Marketing and the Senior Director of Marketing on marketing-related business development for existing and prospective clients.

What You Need
- 8 or more years of executive-level marketing communications writing and editing experience. Professional experience in marketing communications with agency or association experience is a plus.
- Strong background in US healthcare marketing covering healthcare IT (data and analytics, interoperability, integration, workflow, innovation), digital transformation, population health management, value-based care, healthcare CRM, healthcare reimbursement, healthcare policy, alternative payment models.
- Strong portfolio of samples showcasing a variety of B2B healthcare IT marketing communications samples used to attract and drive inbound traffic.
- Expert writer, communicator, editor, and B2B HIT inbound marcom strategist, with a strong attention to detail.
- Creative thinker who can work with marketing and executive colleagues to shape original, provocative, compelling B2B HIT communications.
- Hands-on working style coupled with the ability to think outside the box and streamline content development processes and workflows.
- Self-starter with the ability to collaborate and manage cross-functional teams, excel in organizational management, and work well under pressure.
- Flexible problem solver comfortable dealing with occasional opportunistic hot projects on tight and/or unanticipated deadlines.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed, and occasionally ambiguous environment.
- Ability to act as a trusted, strategic communications adviser to marketing colleagues, executives, SMEs, and other company professionals.
- Skilled with Google Workspace platform, Slack, Zoom, Confluence, Jira, Zoho, PMO tools, marketing automation tools, Google Analytics and other (social, syndication, email, etc.) analytics tools and reporting, social media tools.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in marketing communications or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.
