Description
Inkblot Analytics is a full-service market research firm specializing in the use of psychographics for better business advantages. So if you're interested in the intersection of psychology and market research, you've come to the right place.
We are looking for a PART TIME Market Researcher or Consumer Insights Specialist to help design, implement, and execute various research projects for clients.
This position is based on client demand.* This means _the number of hours you work may vary*_. The more a client needs help with research, the more hours you'll get to work. Consequently, there are no guarantees as to how many hours you'll work per week or overall. Work can range from 0 hours some weeks to 20 hours during other weeks.
This position is 100% remote and does not have set days or hoursto work. You can make your own schedule. Employees are given client deadlines and are expected to manage their time accordingly to meet those deadlines.
The Part Time Market Researcher or Consumer Insights Specialist is responsible for the following:
- Being able to listen to a client's challenges and translate those challenges into a survey that can provide solutions.
- Being able to write an effective survey using best practices of survey design.
- Program surveys using online cloud-based platforms, such as Qualtrics, Surveymonkey, or Alchemer.
- Collect data from large groups of consumers
- Assess data quality and clean data in a way that doesn't skew the results
- Execute statistical analysis on the data collected in a way that yields insights for the client
- Design a report that shows the support of the data but also tells a story that ties the survey results together.
- Assessing survey items and scales for their psychometric properties
To perform the previously listed responsibilities, the Full Time Market Researcher or Consumer Insights Specialist should have the following skills:
- Experience in the market research industry (or another comparable research industry)
- Some demonstrable experience working on a market research project for a client.
- Degree in psychology, marketing, market research, or related discipline
- Some demonstrable experience using psychology in previous work or having training in specific psychological methods (e.g., psychometrics).
- Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (R required)
- Excellent knowledge with at least one online survey platform
- Excellent knowledge working with panel providers
