Automotive Researcher / Data Entry

Do you have experience as an automotive repair technician, automotive parts department or as a service writer? Would you like an opportunity to transfer from the shop to a unique position in the automotive industry?

Dowell Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time remote team member for an Automotive Research & Data Entry position. Don’t let the title intimidate you – this person will use their shop experience and internet research ability to create and improve our labor times and list of labor operations.

Our ideal candidate would meet the following criteria:

• Work experience in an automotive or heavy equipment repair facility or automotive dealership service or parts department (required)
• Working knowledge of some automotive systems and mechanical components, their locations in the vehicle and how the components work with each other (required)
• Comfortable working remotely while on the computer for the majority of the workday (required)
• Passion for a variety of motor vehicles and a desire to learn more about their inner workings
• Ability for analytical thought
• Ability to be thorough with attention to detail
• Ability to take direction while setting up and completing projects.
• Great time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills utilizing various video, chat and email tools
• Basic computer skills with data entry programs such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
• The ability to meet or exceed daily, weekly and project goals and delivering quality and accurate results
• Experience with estimating programs is a definite plus

As this is a remote position, the candidate must have a strong high-speed internet connection and a reliable computer at your home, as well as a place where you can comfortably work eight hours a day, five days a week without interruption or distraction.
