We are seeking a Benefits Administrator to own the administration of benefits programs, focusing on employee communications, education, and engagement plus the optimization of benefits and wellness plans. This role will also be responsible for negotiating with our benefits brokers on the best rates and benefits plans for our employees and executing a seamless Open Enrollment process across all 4 companies.
In this role, you will:
- Own the relationships with our benefit vendors and is responsible for negotiations on rates and plans.
- Strategic ownership of existing benefits programs in health welfare, well-being, and retirement; including identifying, recommending, and implementing changes as appropriate.
- Administer employee insurance programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, group accident, commuter, hospital indemnity, critical illness, FSAs, HSAs, Maven, Cocoon (LOA), Spring Health and 401(k).
- Responsible for recommendation & implementation of open enrollment strategy for employees; manage open enrollment platforms for employees to elect plans, develop communication campaigns to inform employees, assist in on-site and virtual enrollment sessions.
- Partner with payroll team to maintain employee leave statuses in Workday and Cocoon, advising employees and key stakeholders when needed for leave administration.
- Serve as the primary resource for employee questions regarding benefits.
- Ensure all stakeholders are current on benefits-based compliance trends, ex. converting employees from PT to FT based on hours worked.
- Ensure enrollment accuracy of all programs including auditing enrollment, payroll deductions, reporting, etc.
- Create communications supporting/surrounding benefits programs, including team newsletters, benefits calendar, and vendor sponsored webinars.
- Assist with annual compliance including 401(k) audits and ACA reporting, including data collection and review.
- Facilitate the Benefits new hire orientation session for all companies.
- Complete records, reporting, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies.
- Other duties, responsibilities and activities, as needed.
You will be successful if you have:
- 5-7 years experience managing company benefit plans and related tasks, such as benefit enrollments, vendor partnerships, and managing personnel files in accordance with federal and state law.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, team-first attitude - willing to jump in and help for the benefit of the team.
- Solution-oriented mindset - ability to think critically about how to optimize processes and programs.
- Strong customer service with people-first focus.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits and employee issues.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Characteristics of Work Environment:
- Office-based work environment, remotely
- Typing and computer usage throughout the day
- 9-5 business hours M-F
- Must lift and carry a minimum of 15 lbs
- Light travel may be required as necessary

The base salary for this position will be between $97,000 to $113,000 depending on your experience, skillset, and geographic location.
