Position located in Brookings, S.D with opportunity to work from a home office. Candidates must be enrolled and registered as a full-time student. Ideal candidate should be available to work approximately 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and 20-40 hours per week during the summer.

We will make sure you have the knowledge needed to be successful and you will hit the ground running.
Business Operations students are the first point of contact for our amazing customers. They help them with any and all inquiries that happen after the initial sale. Though your contact with the customer is primarily over the phone and email, this is NOT a call center environment. You’ll find each day completely different with a variety of opportunities to investigate problems and coordinate solutions. You are the face of Daktronics to the client and the face of the client to Daktronics. You’ll develop relationships and will be key in retaining our customers.
If you join this team, you won’t live in a bubble. You’ll interact with a variety of customers across the U.S. and Daktronics departments giving you a bigger picture of all the exciting things we do here. There will be stress as our customers can be passionate, but we'll help teach you to roll with the punches, not take it personally, and focus on finding a solution. You’ll work with a great team of coworkers and leaders that WANT to help you succeed.

The typical hiring pay for this position is $13.50 to $14.25 per hour. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education/experiences.
Students with GPA of 3.5 and above are eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester completed while employed.

Qualifications:
Academic:
- The preferred candidate must be a student registered in at least 12 credits and currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree in economics, consumer affairs, global studies, advertising, operations, sociology, psychology, or related degree in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of school.
- Only strong performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered.
- Must maintain an acceptable GPA.
- Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.
Other:
- Are cool under pressure, shift gears comfortably, and concentrate on multiple things at once.
- Can be empathetic with customers, have a personable nature, and have an excellent phone presence.
- Can do problem solving (probing all fruitful sources for answers, see hidden problems, do honest analysis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone skills.
- Detail-oriented, good organizational skills, self-motivation.
- Microsoft office experience preferred but not required.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
