POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- The opportunity to be the operational subject matter expert on Patient Access functions and systems
- Sole responsibility for specified applications and tools used throughout Revenue Cycle
- Program specific role is responsible for supporting front end Epic users to ensure quality and compliance
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Supports all of UW Medicine Patient Access, Hospital Billing, Finance and other related operations that use Epic software in the creation of patient scheduling events, registration, and data collection for billing and account maintenance.
This group is responsible for project development and implementations of new systems and tools as well as ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure of Patient Access applications which support these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the mission of patient care, research and teaching.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze business processes and procedures
- Ensure input data are highest quality necessary to produce clean claims and reduce denials
- Define and document customer requirements
- Proactively review, evaluate, monitor and maintain system functionality
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Provide regular status reporting updates
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or other related field
- Four years in Patient Access positions as a lead or other similar position where analysis and problem solving skills have been demonstrated
- Working knowledge of Epic ADT, Prelude, Cadence/Scheduling, hospital billing systems, and other hardware and software systems related to Patient Financial Access
- Understanding report creation and metric report out
