Job Description
This role will be under our Data Solutions group. The designated candidate will be coaching the Delivery Team and does anything possible to help the team perform at their highest level. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and doing things like working with the Product Owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint.
Areas of responsibility for this role include, but not limited to the following:
- The Scrum Master is responsible for making sure Scrum teams live by the values and practices of Scrum.
- Responsible for ensuring Scrum theory and practices are understood and enacted (even help those outside the Delivery Team understand so value can be maximized).
- Teach, mentor, guide and coach the Delivery Team (and organization) on Agile/Scrum/Kanban/Lean principles and practices.
- Coach the Delivery Team in self-organization and cross functionality.
- Assist Delivery Team and Product Owner with relentless and continuous improvement in processes and product delivery.
- Help the Delivery Team learn and mature so they can reduce their dependence on the ScrumMaster.
- Empowers the Delivery Team and facilitates getting the work completed in time.
- Support and educate the Product Owner and Delivery Team, especially with respect to refining (grooming) and managing the backlog.
- Serve and enable the Product Owner and Delivery Team in their quest to delight customers.
- Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating (making visible) information.
- Work with other Scrum master’s to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum and/or agility in the organization.
Qualifications
Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field.
- 5+ years of Scrum Master experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
- Skillfulness for leading Scrum ceremonies and enforces time boxes.
- An added complication to this role is leading agile teams within a waterfall mega program.
- Must have a great attitude, able to work with ambiguity and be great to work with.
- Embrace and role model servant leadership.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on growth and problem solving.
- Knowledge of numerous patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum Framework.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $112,760.00-$169,240.00
- Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
