This is a remote position.

Background
Panagora Group has been contracted by USAID/India to provide monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) services to support the implementation of the new Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS). As part of this program, Panagora has generated project reports which will be uploaded to the USAID Development Clearinghouse (DEC)- an online repository for USAID-funded technical and project materials. To ensure that these reports comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which requires Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology (EIT) accessible to individuals with disabilities, Panagora is seeking a Communications Specialist to review them. This specialist will ensure that the reports produced under India CLAIM are 508 compliant and that disabled individuals are given access to information comparable to that available to others.
Responsibilities:
The Communication Specialist will:
- Provide editing and formatting support to India CLAIM reports, assessments, and evaluations according to Section 508 Compliance requirements
- Conduct a final review of India CLAIM reports formatted by home office staff to ensure that they are fully 508 compliant and ready to be uploaded in the DEC.
- Provide feedback to home office staff to improve their knowledge of 508 compliance.
- Provide regular updates on progress to Home Office Activity Management Team (AMT).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international development or relevant field; or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of 508 Compliance.
- Supervisory skills
- Demonstrated organization, planning, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a complex and diverse organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong IT and computer skills, with high mastery in Microsoft office Suite and Adobe.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
