Description
KYM Advisors is seeking a part-time Contract Administrator to join our team. Your main duties will be to prepare, negotiate and review various company contracts, including purchases, sales and business partnerships. A successful Contract Administrator will demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to discover potential risks for our company. You should analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasing profits, while ensuring compliance with the law. Our ideal candidate has previous experience managing contracts and is familiar with legal requirements and terms of use. Ultimately, you should ensure all our contracts conform to legislative requirements and meet our company goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for the preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals, awards and modifications;
- Review existing and proposed contracts for accuracy and clarity.
- Plan and organize contract-related meetings, and ensure all parties have the relevant information.
- Responsible for the review, negotiation, and administration of Prime Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, Task Orders, Contract modifications, Teaming and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Reviews and resolves all issues affecting company compliance and ensure satisfaction of legal requirements, company, and customer objectives.
- Interfaces with Government/Customer Contracting personnel.
- Provides contractual guidance, advice, and support to in-house management and Program Mangers, including interpreting terms and conditions, monitoring contract performance and performing contract close-outs in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Work with key stakeholders for contract close-out activities.
- Researches and provides impacts and suggested courses of actions for upcoming legislative changes that may impact the company.
- Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met (e.g. payments and shipping)
- Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
Skills
- Three to five years of proven work experience as a Contract Administrator, Contract Specialist or relevant role
- Must have detailed knowledge of Federal Government Contract Types and an advanced working knowledge of the FAR.
- Experience in negotiating price, terms and conditions and multiple types of contractual Agreements to include but not limited to Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, Master Service
- Agreements, and Subcontracts.
- Experience maintaining complete technical documentation.
- You value teamwork, demonstrate integrity and honesty, are passionate, innovative and strive for excellence.
- Working knowledge of FAR
- Experience using SAP, FPDS-NG, Procurement for Public Sector; and
- Excellent writing skills
- Additional qualifications in law are a plus
