Copy Editor & QA Tester (Remote)

An International Education Non-Profit is looking for a remote Copy Editor & QA Tester on the Professional Learning, Content Production Team for a 6 month contract (with the possibility for extension). This position is responsible for copy-editing the scripts of modules (microlearning modules, videos, infographics, etc.) and testing modules to ensure functionality and adherence to scripts.

Responsibilities of the Copy Editor & QA Tester include:

• Collaborate with the LXP admin, vendors, multimedia specialist and learning designers on the development and implementation of test plans.
• Lead QA testing for microlearning modules.
• Ensure all microlearning modules function and are 508 compliant.
• Implement a test strategy within the production process of microlearning modules.
• Help troubleshoot errors.
• Ensure the scripts adhere to the organization's standards and APA style guide and are grammatically correct.
• Ensure coherence and consistency within a script and between scripts.
• Participate in creating documents to support learning designer works and facilitate the process.

Requirements of the Copy Editor & QA Tester:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Journalism, English or related field.
• 2+ years of QA experience and copy editing.
• Relevant experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards for testing.
• Knowledge of APA style and grammar guidelines.
• Strong and demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Strong knowledge of test management software (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, color analyzers, ChromeX, and/or BrowserStack).

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
