Costume & Party Supplies Designer (Remote & Freelance)

We are a Hong Kong based design and trading company of fast moving party decorations, supplies and costumes. We are devoting ourselves to bring fun to people by our creative products. To expand our party costume and games business, we need a Freelance Designer to join our global product development team and work remotely in the USA.

You will report to the business head in Hong Kong remotely and assist in designing new products and defining product strategy in the following areas:

1. Collect market information, conduct market and competitive product analysis to identify market niches for new product design and development in the party decorations, supplies, costume or party game business;

2. Propose new product ideas, positioning and define new product features, specifications and target customer segment details;

3. Design new products (incl. graphic, outlook, functional or structural drawings) and work with the product team in Hong Kong to complete product prototyping; and

4. Assist in new material sourcing and production process development.

This position calls for an independent self-starter who has a strong interest on the cosplay, party costume and party game products. Moreover, you shall be/have:

1. Degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, Fashion or Textile Design, Fine or Applied Arts or similar disciplines;

2. With minimum 3 years of solid experience in new product design and development of handicrafts, party costumes, board games, party decorations, beddings, household or similar products ;

3. Proficient on Adobe Illustrator Suite or similar drawing tools a must; and

4. Fluent English and a good communicator.

The person will be remunerated on project basis, but we intend to build a steady relationship with the selected candidate. Please send in your resume, portfolio as well as daily fee proposal. We may also work with niche design firms with proven results.
