Data Language Annotator for multiple languages

Volga Partners is hiring a Language Data Annotator for various languages!

Rate: $15.00/hour to $17.00/hour [If applicable, Volga Partners follows all state and city minimum wage requirements in the respective city and/or state of the applicant.]

Languages: Thai, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, German and Indonesian.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work within our client’s universal language platform and pinpoint improvements if necessary.
• Understand, monitor, review, track, analyze and evaluate data generated by your team on the universal platform.
• Respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently.
• Understand and adhere to details of client guidelines and policies.
• Be highly organized and a commitment to quality.
• Understand data, relationships between data sets, and be able to identify and explain recommendations for improvement.
• Must have interest and patience in reviewing repeated data at times.
• Understand details of client requirements regarding formatting and ensuring efficiency and accuracy in reviewing the data sets.
• Commit to quality assurance and project guidelines system to ensure maximum data quality and meet clients' expectations.
• Ability to familiarize text annotation, image annotation, data collection, search relevance tasks, and much more to improve machine learning models.
• Communicate insights and provide solutions.
• Research information for various content relevance, tools, and data.
• Interpret data and turn it into information that can offer ways to improve a project.
• Work closely with other teams on multiple projects to present data quality metrics & to identify accurate data assessments.
• Own the quality of all data and work on proactively identifying issues.
• Focus on tasks and proofreading the work assigned.
• Correct any errors or inaccuracies in a timely manner.
• Ensure typing and comprehension skills are honed and remain sharp between responsibilities.
• Mirror project guidelines and documentation accurately.

Key Skills:

• Good oral and written communication language skills: Fluent in English and one other language is a must.
• Awareness of culture sensitivity to understand and prioritize tasks.
• The ideal person should also be fluent in spoken English as well as the second language, and understand how people talk commonly in the workplace, at home, and in the street, and have good writing skills.

• Ability to work directly with forms of repeated data labeling and annotation process to improve functionality and accuracy.
• Ability to create accurate data labeling that helps businesses achieve revenue-generating opportunities.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Fluent in English and one other language is a must.
• Awareness of culture sensitivity is imperative.
• Excellent computer skills, especially typing and writing.
• Previous data mining and analysis experience preferred.
• Proven Ability to work effectively with different people.
• Experience in quality management preferred.
• Entry level position with on-the-job training.
• For a part-time position, you must be available to work a minimum between 10am-2 pm Pacific Standard Time Monday through Friday (4 hours a day).
• For a full-time position, we are seeking candidates with the ability to work 8 hours a day from 8am to 5pm (Pacific
• Standard Time Zone). Monday through Friday.
• Must be flexible with training hours for the first few weeks.

Work Authorization:

• Must have valid work authorization to work in the United States.
