We are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer, who can design, modify and analyze electrical systems, to join our team in our Aurora, Illinois, office, or for the right candidate, remote work or relocation to a community near any of our offices is available. We are interested in talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about providing personalized attention to our clients.
What You'll Do
You will design portions of projects related to electrical systems according to code. You will research resources for commercially available equipment. And you'll help coordinate design and schedule with structural and mechanical engineers, technological experts and equipment suppliers. You'll review design methods, procedures and changes in scope with the lead engineer. You'll also work directly with our clients.
We promote a team environment, so you'll learn from fellow engineers, environmental scientists and project managers. And you'll develop leadership skills that build autonomy.
What it takes
A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is key, and a professional engineering license is a plus. If you are not licensed, we are looking for someone who could be licensed within one to two years after employment. You should have a minimum of five years of experience designing and implementing electrical systems for industrial and/or municipal facilities. Experience should include:
- Medium voltage and 480 Volt distribution.
- Motor control centers, variable frequency drives
- Lighting systems.
- Instrumentation/control and supervisory control and data acquisition.
- On-site testing, system startup and troubleshooting.
- Electrical building systems design and/or knowledge of construction techniques is a plus.
You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player.
