Description
SUMMARY
We are hiring a new Email Marketing Specialist to work remotely or at our corporate office in Birmingham, AL! The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the management of all product market initiatives and brand building projects via email for products across multiple departments. As the Email Marketing Specialist, you will relay information to Hibbett I City Gear consumers via email through deal emails, events, marketing, launch products, raffle announcements, and vendor products. You will monitor transactional emails, loyalty welcome streams, and loyalty emails and create, coordinate, and monitor the triggered email platform and its performance. You will work between the marketing and merchandising departments and vendors to ensure each product and promotion is properly represented graphically and promotionally on email and that all initiatives are consistent with the overall content strategy and brand voice for both Hibbett I City Gear and its vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and work to grow all email campaigns for Hibbett I City Gear
- Monitor daily email campaign deliverability, ensuring high inbox success rate for all email campaigns.
- Develop and create email marketing campaigns including headline and subject line creation as well as creative design and direction for Hibbett I City Gear
- Coordinate across various internal partners in digital commerce, merchandising, marketing, and design to ensure emails are created, approved, and delivered on time for Hibbett I City Gear and vendor campaigns.
- Engage with and provide creative direction to creative agencies for email design and content development.
- Manage and strategize the email calendar.
- Monitor content performance and email data using 3rd party tools and make recommendations for future programs/plans and content based on findings
- Accountable for performance of email campaigns including key KPIs such as open rate, click through rate, and sales
Management of email budget. - Be knowledgeable on email best practices, technologies, and trends
- Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 or more years of experience in marketing.
- Experience working for a retail company a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and execute with excellence & precision while adapting to competing demands and shifting priorities.
- Ability to communicate & influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Innate ability to grasp what is relevant, trending, and on-brand.
- Strong appreciation for the creative process and product knowledge.
- Clear & effective written & verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently; self-motivated & willing to take an idea and run with it.
- Highly organized & flexible.
- Understanding of email marketing operations, reporting, technology, testing techniques and platforms.
