We have a rare opportunity for a Digital Technologies - Enterprise Platform Sys - Development Lead!
This IT position is responsible for managing the middleware development and code processes at Pratt & Whitney. Ensuring compliance with RTX policy and OEM best practice for code deployment and testing is key. The position will assist with overseeing a team of middleware developers focused on data exchange between systems, audit support, policy compliance, and system performance per established business policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of multiplatform application developers
- Establish practices and provide guidance to multiple integration application developers.
- Middleware (IIB ACE / IBM MQ / IBM Sterling Integrator/API Connect/SAP PI) development, testing, deployment, performance.
- Deploy tools and processes to ensure system performance
- Support audit requests
- Manage middleware developers and support HR processes, budget oversight, hiring, training, goal definition and audit compliance
- Support resource planning activities as it relates to middleware tasks and project support
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to Pratt & Whitney business users on middleware systems design, sizing, and performance requests
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related technical field or 10+ years developer experience; OR an Advanced degree in Information Technology or related technical field and 7+ years of developer experience
- US Citizenship or US Persons required due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have experience in several of the following IT services and technologies:
- ESQL/Node.js/Java
- SOAP/JSON/WSDL/DTD
- XML/XSLT/XML Schema
- IBM Integration Broker / App Connect Enterprise/ DataPower/ API Connect/ Sterling B2B/ SAP PI
- IBM MQ/JMS/RabbitMQ/Active MQ
- Docker
- SAP Adapter
- Safe Agile
- Application development standards, architectures, and best practices
- DevSecOps tools (Git, Ansible, Jenkins)
- ITAR and Export regulations as they apply to IT asset access control
- Application file maintenance
- Microsoft Windows client software for PCs and servers
- Application security techniques and policies

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
