Ethics Program Coordinator
Work Remotely from Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah
Primary Job Purpose
Ethics Program Specialist supports corporate efforts in maintaining the ethics program ensuring that it meets the standards for an effective program as outlined in government contracts and regulations.
General Functions and Outcomes
- Oversees the administration of annual programs including Conflict of Interest disclosures for staff and multiple boards, ethics education, year-end Board report, and the annual ethics survey.
- Maintains Conflict of Interest disclosure exemptions for outside organizations, ensuring that the requirements are met for ethics officer review on a biannual basis.
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring functionality for all control functions, such as testing protocols for ethics contact methods, maintaining department intranet site, monitoring and managing department databases, answering questions and addressing problems as needed.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of ethics related mobile applications, on a variety of platforms. Tracks usage of deployed resources, as requested.
- Responsible for administering, distributing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting on all new and ongoing applicable ethics requirements in a thorough and accurate manner.
- Ensures all established training and documentation needs are met within required time frames.
- Conducts initial review and analysis of Conflict of Interest disclosures and ethics reports and inquiries, resolves and brings to conclusion items that do not require deeper investigation, and highlights concerns or items to be followed up on by an ethics officer.
- Utilizes database skills and analysis in collecting and organizing data to complete dashboards and summaries for the ethics team.
- Demonstrates strong project management skills to deliver results within established timelines.
- Identifies, communicates and develops recommendations for process and program improvements that help improve the overall ethics program.
- Develops and maintains guidelines, policies and procedures as needed. Ensures consistency across guidelines, policies and procedures for Ethics Dept.
- Ensures all Ethics business resources, including the Code of Business Conduct, are distributed appropriately in a timely manner both internally and externally.
- Acts as an Ethics liaison and subject matter expert, building and maintaining open communication and fielding inquires as appropriate.
- Represents the Ethics department by participating on teams and workgroups to further department-related goals and support the company’s initiatives.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Corporate Accountability High Five awards program.
- Oversees and ensuring timely delivery of the communications for the program, including but not limited to company-wide announcements, articles, and contests.
- Maintains and operates a weekly educational tip or guidance for opted-in employee base.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong interest in research and investigations including the analytical skills required to identify problems, develop solutions and implement recommended courses of action.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information or responding to inquiries and questions.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities with varying levels of management and staff through strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must exhibit excellent time-management skills by achieving departmental goals and objectives, while working in a high-volume workload environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs, SharePoint and database query tools, Diligent, and other software applications and databases
- Understands and performs complex and detailed work accurately.
- Ability to work flexible work schedules when necessary to accommodate departmental needs
- Demonstrated ability to work independently yet function within the corporate structure

The Ethics Program Specialist would have a Bachelor’s degree in bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, public policy or healthcare administration along with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in program development, project management, reporting and analysis, ethics, compliance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment
- Duties performed primarily in office or remote environment.
- Some limited travel may be necessary, both in-state and out-of-state.
The expected hiring range for a Ethics Program Coordinator is $27.29 - $38.01 per hour depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; performance history; and work location. The bonus target for this position is 5%. The current full hourly range for this role is $25.65 to $39.70 per hour.
