Responsibilities:
As a columnist with us, your responsibilities will include:
✅ Conduct thorough research, surveys, and reports on international relations, politics, and risk analysis, especially on US’s foreign relations and domestic politics.
✅ Monitoring and analyzing developments in US’s domestic and international policy arenas, offering insightful and balanced coverage.
✅ Interview key stakeholders, government officials, and experts to gather accurate information about the ground reality.
✅ Producing high-quality written articles, features, and news reports that engage and inform readers, while maintaining a high standard of journalistic integrity and accuracy.
✅ Collaborating with our editorial team to pitch and develop compelling story ideas, ensuring timely and relevant coverage of significant political and foreign policy events.
✅ Staying updated on current events, trends, and emerging issues in politics and foreign policy to maintain a comprehensive understanding and provide informed analysis.
Requirements:
- To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be based in Washington D.C.or New York.
- Proven at least five year’s experience as a journalist or research fellow, preferably with a focus on US domestic politics and foreign policy topics.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, logical, and engaging manner.
- In-depth knowledge of the domestic politics and foreign policy landscape of the United States, including key players, institutions, and historical context.
- Strong research abilities, with the capability to gather and verify information from diverse sources.
- Familiarity with journalistic ethics and standards, demonstrating a commitment to unbiased and objective reporting.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and adapt to evolving news priorities.
Qualifications:
at least bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, or a related field.
Package:
Job Type: Part-time.
Salary: $300.00 - $1,000.00 per week.
Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay.
Experience: Senior professionals with extensive experience are preferred.
