This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
- All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process medical record submissions through various avenues -Locate and retrieve prescriptions/patient demographic forms when requested.
- Manage cases from the time of opening to the time medical records are received including verification and management of standard turn-around times on cases, or the case is closed for NMR.
- Communicate with Providers
- Manage provider contact information

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of Customer Service experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications including Microsoft Outlook and One Note
- Ability to work our normal business hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience within a Healthcare related, or healthcare claims industry
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management, organizational and analytical skills
- Requires a commitment to confidentiality, privacy, and professionalism
- Self-motivation, flexible, works independently but also as a team member

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
