Role Snapshot
As a key member of the growth team at WPS, the Government Pricing Director will help drive business growth by leveraging extensive government contract pricing expertise and strong leadership skills to win new government business for WPS.
This role will:
- Work with the Business Development Team, Finance, Operations, and bidding partners to develop competitive bidding strategies for pipeline opportunities.
- Represent the pricing function in development of new teaming and partnership relationships
- Work with operational leaders of existing contracts to help drive on-contract revenue growth and develop recompete pricing proposals.
- Lead the Government Pricing team in continued development of efficient, repeatable, and compliant pricing processes for proposals of all solicitation types (e.g., Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursement, IDIQ, etc.): (Develops responses for the proposal)
- Develop price to win analysis.
- Research, analyze and leverage historical data to support the development of accurate cost and price estimates.
- Plan, develop and gain internal executive approval for price proposals that comply with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) requirements and Request for Proposal (RFP) specifications.
- Serve as the lead price negotiator for proposals.
- Lead team in support of government compliance and audit activities (e.g., Truth in Negotiation Act sweeps, DCAA audits) and ensure pricing proposal activities withstand government review/audit.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience
- 5 or more years of related work and/or leadership experience
- Extensive experience developing pricing proposals for multiple federal contract types (e.g., firm fixed price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity, cost reimbursement, commercial, etc.), preferably within healthcare, financial services and/or technology services industries.
- Advanced knowledge of government contracting processes across multiple agencies
- For remote positions, employees are required to meet remote worker requirements, including a designated workstation, a wired (Ethernet) connection to the network, and a minimum of 10Mbps downstream connection with at least 1Mbps upstream (can be checked at https://speedtest.net)
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their applicability to cost/price requirements.
- Experience leading a team of likeminded professionals.
- Working knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organization skills that enable clear communication of complex topics and support decision making.
- Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to challenges.
- Strong price negotiation skills.
- Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of internal WPS financial data and operations and leverage that information to improve pricing strategy and probability of win.
Salary Range
$140K - $200K - The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
