Description
PPE Unite, operated by Logisticom, is a community-based health organization making a difference in thousands of workplaces in the California region by providing Personal Protective Equipment, small business resources, and education to at-risk and under-resourced communities. PPE Unite's in-community work brings the resources and supplies to over 60,000+ businesses in our region by supplying over 40 Million Personal Protective Equipment. PPE Unite seeks a driven and organized Grant Administrator & Writer who has strong and persuasive writing skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Administrator will identify, define, develop, write, and submit grant proposals and RFPs. This position provides an essential role to the organization, creating the grant proposals and reports that enable multiple regions to serve thousands of businesses and organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Guides and facilitates staff in the development and preparation of proposals, contracts and agreements, to include budgets, documentation and funding requirements.
- Serves as a liaison between the organization and funding agencies.
- Analyzes and evaluates contract and grant budgets for correct calculation of expenditures.
- Coordinates receipt of awards and contract documentation.
- Maintains proposal and funding records in database systems.
- Prepares scheduled and special reports regarding grants.
- Participates and/or assists with special projects and performs associated administrative duties, as assigned.
- Manage and conduct outreach/meetings with private and corporate foundation contacts.
- Regularly communicate with directors and project managers within the organization to help monitor alignment of project progress, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project compliance.
- Ability to respond effectively to complex inquiries from grantors and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare research reports and proposals.
- May be assigned other miscellaneous job-related duties.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and requirements that govern grants administration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Minimum of 3 years of grant and/or RFP writing experience (including both proposals and reports), with a proven track record of raising money from foundation, corporation, and government sources; experience writing for multiple regions is preferred
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal; highest priority is the ability to write clear, concise, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals/reports. Highly sophisticated writing skills are required
- Ability to present information effectively to public groups
- Able to work well in a diverse community
- Familiar with government reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret federal and state laws, grantor guidelines, financial reports, and legal documents.
