The Role
Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for Head of Human Resources to lead the Oxfam International Secretariat Human Resource team, aligning team objectives with organizational goals and global HR Strategic priorities, responsible for the management and development of the team, and driving strong HR business partnering and professional people management standards and processes across the organization.
Who we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Typically, 10+ years of relevant and progressive experience as HR generalist, including minimum 5 years working experience in a global setting.
- Proven senior HR management experience, facilitating organizational change and managed HR teams ideally in an INGO context.
- Extensive working knowledge and experience of labour law (multi-countries) and its application.
- Demonstrable experience of working on HR policy matters across cultural and legislative boundaries.
- Leadership, management, negotiation and coordination skills (of people and projects) in a complex multi-stakeholder, networked, global and largely virtual environment.
- Experience in leading compensation and benefits in a complex and international environment.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing total reward frameworks.
- Excellent skills in handling and advising on complex people management issues.
- Experience in developing Human Resources strategies and policies and driving implementation.
- Commitment to Oxfam’s values and experience, sensitive of promoting gender equity & diversity and the interests of marginalized people in all aspects of Oxfam’s work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in plain language.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Desirable
- Experience of working with an I/NGO
- A working knowledge of French/ Spanish/ Arabic.
