Our client, a US Fortune 500 company and a provider of managed Health care, Pharmacy benefits & specialty areas for managed care organizations / employers / government agencies, seeks an accomplished Customer Care Associate.

Position: Customer Care Associate
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 6 months w/ possibility of extension or conversion to FTE role
Important Notes:
- Strict Start Date: 10/16/2023.
- Candidate must be open to 24/7, 365-day schedule. There is no graveyard shift though. Shifts could be Mon - Fri, Tue – Sat, Sun - Thur, Wed – Sun or Thur – Mon.
- Morning shifts: 6:00am – 2:30pm & 8:00am – 4:30pm (Pacific Time)
- Mid-day shifts: shifts start anywhere between 10:00am - 01:00pm (Pacific Time)
- Training Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm Pacific Time, Mon – Fri.
- Training Duration: 2 weeks in training 3 weeks in success lab.
- No unscheduled absence during the first 60 days.
- Once 60 days is over candidate can work OT.
- Attendance is an important factor in this position.
- Candidate MUST have high-speed wired internet connection. Wi-Fi / Wireless connections not allowed as a violation of policy and can lead to breach of Private Health Information (PHI).
- Candidate MUST have a reliable home-office environment.
Description:
- The main function of a customer service representative is to interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints.
- A typical customer service specialist is responsible for determining the client’s issue, offer possible solutions or providing follow-up as needed.
- Customer service agents may be inbound, outbound or a combination of both.
- Resolve customer’s service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills.
- Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments.
- Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years customer service related experience required.
- High call volume Pharmacy background if applicable.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as MS Outlook or data entry software.
- Proficient in computer software navigation and dual screens 24/7 call center. Flexible shifts may vary.
- Ability to handle complex calls.
- Typing 45 WPM minimum.
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Nice to haves:
- Preferred but not required: bi-lingual for Hmong, Spanish, Mien.
- Healthcare background is preferred but not required.
Remote at this time with an option of returning to office at future date.
