The HR Coordinator provides support for a wide variety of human resource activities, including recruiting, onboarding, conducting background checks, processing payroll, handling benefit administration, and maintaining employee records. The primary responsibility of this position is to specialize in creating an excellent pre-boarding experience for new employees.
Position Location: 100% remote
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate all aspects of the pre-boarding process, providing outstanding customer service to new employees.
- Communicate with Recruiters, Employee Experience Specialist, and Managers to facilitate a seamless pre-boarding and first-day readiness for new employees
- Welcome and assist newly hired candidates, addressing inquiries promptly, and verifying readiness to start.
- Handle new hire paperwork, including offer letters, contracts, necessary approvals, background checks, reference checks, and assessments.
- Ensure pre-boarding compliance and drive process improvements.
- Always maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee records and upload employee documents to the appropriate systems.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition team with sourcing, resume review, coordinating interviews, as needed.
- Analyze recruitment, turnover, and diversity data for reporting to senior leadership.
- Assist the Payroll & Benefits team in entering and maintaining employee documents and data, such as hours worked, salary adjustments, deductions, and other payroll-related information in the payroll system.
- Assist the Manager, Payroll & HR Analytics, as a backup, by processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and tax laws, and reviewing and validating payroll data to identify and correct discrepancies or errors.
- Assist with the coordination of special events, such as Open Enrollment or other HR-related training, as needed.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers on issues associated with the HRIS (iSolved), as needed.
- Support audit and compliance activities, as needed.
- Other duties as needed.
Required Education and Experience:
- Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Required Experience: 1 year of professional experience
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Management, or related field
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years of professional experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
- Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as detailed oriented
