ABOUT OUR ROLE
Our HR Specialist will need to be an experienced contributor, who is passionate about everything HR and supporting our organization’s talent and our growth. In this role, you will report to our VP of Talent & Culture and work directly with our team members from all walks of life, locations, departments, etc. You will need to be able to proactively identify areas of opportunity and improvement within our HR department that will directly impact our Employee Relations while helping us scale the organization. You should be able to work well independently and cross functionally and know how to manage changing work volumes that ebb and flow based on business needs and seasons.
Main focuses and responsibilities;
- Focus on the management of all tasks related to Employee Relations; i.e. LOAs, questions regarding policies, benefits management, termination support, employment verification, etc.
- Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization.
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation.
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner.
- Act as a knowledgeable liaison between our team and our PEO, TriNet.
- Supports recruiting and outreach efforts in coordination with the centralized recruiting team to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruiting targets when needed.
- Resolves employee personnel inquiries and submits necessary inputs, changes, additions, and deletions to the HR Information System. Reports unusual or unresolved problems for escalation and further action.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- 1-3 years HR experience for a hyper growth company as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist.
- Experience within a remote organization is a huge plus!
- Knowledge of labor legislation and best practices.
- PHR, SPHR or payroll specific certification, preferred.
- Prior experience managing PEO partnerships.
- Proven track record of maintaining employee confidentiality.
- Expert with various HRIS applications.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
