The Interledger Foundation (ILF) is a philanthropic nonprofit whose mission is to extend digital financial access to the world's 1.4 billion unbanked and underbanked populations by using the Interledger Protocol (ILP), a currency-agnostic payments network. ILF engages entrepreneurs, communities, government entities, and other mission-aligned organizations to build viable solutions on ILP that will move the needle towards increasing financial inclusion. Job Description
As an Operations Associate at Interledger Foundation, you will play a vital role in supporting the organization's operations and overall efficiency. Although this position collaborates across all departments and levels of ILF, you will work closely with the Operations and Finance teams to ensure operational systems are frictionless, and your efforts will be essential in contributing to the Foundation's mission of advancing the adoption and development of the Interledger Protocol.
Responsibilities:
- Operations
- Manage and maintain vendor contracts and ensure they are in compliance with required signatures and dates, and are readily accessible by appropriate staff
- Track insurance policies by creating a schedule of upcoming renewals, and file accordingly
- Run travel reports to ensure compliance with organizational policies
- Provide administrative support for COO, including booking travel arrangements and calendar scheduling and maintenance
- Serve as contact person for organization system needs such as password resets, account creation/suspension, etc
- Track time off across the organization and confirm adherence to country-specific mandates
- Assist in identifying areas for enhancement and improvement is operational processes
- Finance
- Receive and process personal expense reimbursements
- Check vendor documentation for completeness, including W-9 and W-8 BEN forms
- Monitor incoming credit card charges and verify all receipts are in compliance with accounting policies
- Assist with coding of credit card charges from automated system
- Support with audit and tax filing requests
Qualifications:
- Passionate about the mission of vision of the Interledger Foundation
- Cultural competency and an ability to respectfully interact with a multitude of stakeholders from around the world
- Proven experience in operations or administrative roles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Acute attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in using productivity tools and software, spreadsheets, and document management systems
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Ability to adapt and adjust with the pace of a changing environment
Compensation
The salary for this role is $65,000 - $70,000 USD annually based on experience and location.
Location
The Interledger Foundation is based in the United States and has a fully remote staff. This position can be based almost anywhere in the world. Compensation may be affected by international hiring costs in specific locations.
