IT Security Specialist

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement IT security policies and procedures in accordance with NIST800-171
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor network traffic for potential security breaches
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including incident recovery
- Manage firewall configurations and access controls
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as FedRAMP and DIACAP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure cloud architectures
- Perform risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies

Skills:

- Experience implementing NIST800-171 and CMMC is ideal but not required
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network security concepts
- Experience with incident response and recovery procedures
- Familiarity with DHCP, IPsec, and other network protocols
- Proficiency in vulnerability research and threat intelligence analysis
- Understanding of Agile methodologies for security operations
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and security best practices
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
