American Global Express LLC is seeking a Experienced Logistics Coordinator that is a self starter! Needs to have excellent communication skills, builds relationships with their drivers, quick learner to new TMS programs, experience negotiating rates with brokers on individual loads and building new relationships. We are a St. Louis based carrier that runs primarily in the Midwestern states. This is a fast pace role and we are looking for a true team player to fill this position. Operation hours are from Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST with weekend availability.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Supports Fleet Manager to ensure customer expectations are met.
Directs, coordinates and supervises the activities of drivers to ensure productivity of both drivers and equipment
Responsible for assigned full fleet of tractors and drivers including ensuring optimum overall performance
Responsible for supporting assigned fleet/ account, supporting the drivers and customer needs.
Schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
Ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance, hours of service compliance and cost control.
Load tracking and customer reporting.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Logistics Coordinators can expect to be promoted to a Driver Manager in six months-one year. This ideal candidate will have the:

Ability to effectively manage and coach a team
Ability to manage tasks, problem solve and work in in high-pressure situations
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external staff and business partners
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
Intermediate computer skills required including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; Spanish a plus
