Are you a Mechanical Designer/Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience designing crusher equipment including blow bars? If so, please read on. This job is for you!

As part of the Product Design Group (PDG) you will provide design services to support the
marketing and operational objectives of the organization. The Mechanical Designer -Crushers is a key position within the (PDG), which interfaces with the NA Crusher commercial group to provide design
support for Fully Integrated Technology) and VAES (Value Added Engineering Services)
projects in Crushers and Vertical Shaft Impactors. The designer/design engineer would be the technical
lead on design projects and/or new product development (NPD) projects as identified by the Product Design Supervisor and/or Technical Director.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Independently create design and CAD models for Vertical Shaft Impactors (VSI) and Horizontal Shaft Impactors (HIS) wear liner i.e., blow bars for various HSI/VSI OEMs
2. Independently lead key Crusher projects using AutoDESKinventor, 3D Systems - Geomagic and other tools. Solidworks would be acceptable
3. Fully utilize Autodesk Inventor (Version 21 or above) or Solidworks to create new CAD models of complex cone crusher components and assemblies, and detailed mechanical drawings.
4. Ensures compliance with required design standards, manuals, safety factors, geometric tolerances,
and customer, marketing, and engineering specifications.
5. Execute an engineering change order (ECO) in a timely manner with minimal supervision using PDM systems
6. Evaluates tolerance stack-ups to insure proper fit of components and proper application of GD&T
techniques.
7. Initiate conceptual designs and models which address the requirements from end-customer.
8. Accompany Account managers to mine site and support scanning of liners inside the mills and
crushers for reverse engineering and/or wear tracking report.
9. Support a variety of commercial initiatives including wear studies and reverse engineering data
collection. Proficient with Laser Scanning Technologies (FARO etc.) and how to leverage it in
the mineral processing area including but not limited to wear tracking of mill liners and crusher
products.
10. Interface with service manager and Marketing Account Managers to develop conceptual
designs.
11. Gather operational data from end-customer through marketing group to validate the performance
of new design.
12. Verify and validate computational results with experimental test data.
13. Develop technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to support the sales and
marketing group.
14. Recommend design changes to meet or exceed product performance requirements.
15. Participate in team brainstorming sessions and conduct design reviews.
16. Travel to other company locations and customer sites.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
1. Bachelors in mechanical engineering or an advanced design degree in a related field, is preferred
2. Experience in the application, design and manufacturing of Blow bars is required.
3. Excellent proficiency on using AutoDESKinventor (or similar CAD modeling software) for
model creation is required.
5. Thorough knowledge of PDM systems
6. Well verse with MS Office Products.
7. Good understanding of top-down modeling and 3D parameterization techniques is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
