About The Role We are looking for a Functional Consultant with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central/ Dynamics NAV experience to join our team of experienced consultants at knk. A Functional Consultant for knk enjoys using technology to solve problems and uses interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with new and existing publishing and media clients. We are looking for someone who is excited about technology and the opportunity to grow and develop their skill set.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A knk FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT: Configure and prototype processes in Business Central and knkPublishing according to client requirements. Run workshops with your clients, consultants, and project managers to analyze and design solutions. Work with the technical team to make sure that your clients' needs are incorporated into the specifications and functions. Document settings and prepare your clients to use the system. Train client users in Business Central and knk Publishing configuration and operations. Support testing the proposed system by client users. Produce Business Requirements Document/Functional Requirement Document for proposed customizations based on client requirements. Assist client in preparing Business test cases and System test plans. Design Integrations with 3rd party systems. Provide Post Go Live Support. Analyze complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations. Address and rectify work that does not meet a client's expectations to maintain a healthy client relationship. Travel up to 25% for on-site client work, although most work is trending remote.
About You WHO YOU ARE You like to organize things and bring them in order. You are methodical in what you are doing. You are team-minded, willing to lend a helpful hand to get a project going. You have a passion for learning new things and a desire to help others do so, too. Comfortable working in the coordinated chaos of a rapidly growing business. An optimistic, enthusiastic, and fun person to work with. Very customer-centric, always looking for ways to deliver a better experience. And if you are passionate about the media industry, publishing, and/or technology, then you are definitely the right candidate.
WHAT YOU BRING 4+ years of experience working with MS Dynamics, NAV/Business Central (newest version is a HUGE plus.) Ability to configure Business Central and advise on optimal operations according to client requirements. Experience with Microsoft Power Automate a plus. Experience managing/leading teams a plus. Past work in the publishing industry a plus. Ability to address issues and resolve to ensure the team can work effectively. Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision making. Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarizing key points. Applicants must have authorization to work in the US/North America.
