POSITION SUMMARY
This role focuses on eCommerce data analysis, insight generation and operational test and learn functions. The Optimization Analyst prepares reports, test requirements and ancillary deliverables. The role engages directly with clients and leads accounts. This role is highly consultative and the Optimization Analyst is responsible for driving account value through various analytical deliveries.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead test and learn optimization programs
- Analyze data for trends, insights, and opportunities
- Operate proficiently within onsite analytics tools and testing platforms
- Create dashboards and reporting outputs for impactful performance analysis and consumption
- Leverage evaluation of site performance to build testing strategy
- Create, own, and maintain test backlog and prioritization of concepts
- Lead structured and routine meetings for backlog grooming and approval
- Manage set retainer hours and collaborate effectively with internal subject matter experts
- Present test findings and recommended next steps based on campaign performance
- Drive pragmatic solutions through an understanding of clients needs and available resources
- Innovate and create analytical solutions that not only meet but exceed client expectations
- Build consultative relationships based on value and trust
- Adhere to internal processes and deliverable expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
Hard Skills:
- eCommerce Strategy: comprehension of eCommerce best practices and opportunities
- Data Analysis: examination and interpretation of data sets mostly focused on eCommerce KPIs and performance impacts
- Report Creation: structure and visualize data in simple and meaningful formats
- Insight Generation: extract accurate and actionable findings from data used to drive program decision making
- Test Requirements: functional requirements describing in detail the desired functions and metrics for an experiment
- Test Analysis: results interpretation and recommendations based on trends, statistical significance and impact
- Quality Assurance: functional testing of test code and experience ensuring execution is aligned with requirements
- Backlog: create and source test ideas, document concepts and leverage findings to own test backlog and roadmap
- Prioritization: leverage data to rank and prioritize testing efforts focused on low effort and high impact strategies
- Platform knowledge: An understanding of analytical tools and testing platforms
Soft Skills:
- Client Management: communicate, update and steward client’s needs based on understanding of business goals and priorities
- Communication: Ability to articulate key findings, methodology and test outcomes
- Expectation Setting: Understanding of level of effort and ability to appropriately set timelines for internal or external stakeholders
- Presentation: Deliver clear and insightful outputs while communicating clearly and intentionally
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work well with others, be a team player, and support a collective goal
- Critical Thinking: Intentful and strategic methods for learning, solving problems, and ideating into solutions
The US average base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - $150,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, but they are subject to change based on the following factors: role, experience level, education/certification, job-related skills, and working location. Please note that some states within the US have pay/hiring laws that may affect the salary range listed above.
