Description
As a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Payroll Process
- Review timecards for designated pay period and ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Follow up with HR, Scheduling, and appropriate Supervisors with discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Maintain accurate payroll information including collecting, calculating, and entering dates.
- Maintain payroll operations by implementing and following policies and procedures.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Conducts on-going payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with both state and federal regulations.
- Manage payroll email account and ensure all questions and requested information in relation to payroll is handled daily.
- Document and record all payroll and timecard files each pay cycle.
- Process 401 K contributions each pay cycle and ensure appropriate documentation.
Compensation Program
- Manage compensation programs including job evaluation, internal equity and external market analysis
- Submit financial data for review and approval each pay cycle including financial graphs.
- Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
- Administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) for staff, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions.
Employee Benefits
- Administers and manages benefits, communication, and enrollment
- Addresses benefit questions from employees, insurance carriers and other stakeholders. Refer inquiries to the appropriate internal and/or external partner.
- Assist with open enrollment, audits, 401 K rollouts and requests.
- Reconcile and process monthly insurance invoices: makes adjustments based on enrollments/terminations
Statutory Filings and Audit Support
- Support Statutory Filing, such as Payroll, Benefit, and 401K filings.
- Assist workers Comp, Payroll, Health Benefit, and Financial Audits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required or a minimum of 2 years in relevant experience.
- Ability to problem solve independently
- Ability to plan own work, pay close attention to detail and handle multiple priorities.
- Commitment to maintain employee and client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization
- Knowledge and skilled in computer/word processing software.
BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to and able to travel between different offices.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
- Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions.

Stars Bay Area, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Campus Recruiter to work from our home office in San Jose, CA. The position develops recruiting, sourcing and retention strategies and related action plans while implementing best practices to support the talent needs of the organization.
As a Campus Recruiter, you will be responsible for supporting Northern California Regions in the following areas:
- Manage full cycle recruiting talent acquisition process from sourcing to onboarding.
- Partner with the Director of Human Resources and senior management team to identify program’s recruiting needs and deliver talent solutions that enable the execution of the business strategy.
- Develop and drive pipeline strategies and sourcing strategies including schools, associations and other community outreach programs.
- Create relationships with community and universities to develop internship and externship programs.
- Identifies and selects media, technological and social solutions that support our talent acquisition strategy.
- Evaluates recruiting efforts to continually improve the process and quality of talent brought into the organization.
- Manages recruiting budget and expenses planning.
- Audit, revise, create and maintain job descriptions.
- Create position profiles to identify skills, talents, abilities and behavioral traits.
- Create an off-boarding process and gather data to continually enhance recruitment.
- Develop and implement retention strategies.
- Builds and provides oversight to an employee referral program. Assist DHR with total reward programs, employee relations and evaluating and creating programs to enhance and sustain the right culture.
- Oversees compliance to all regulations that impact the hiring and selection process.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development or related field.
- Two years of high-volume recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of employment, staffing and selection practices
- Proven track record in a high volume, non-exempt recruitment environment Experience with team leadership, employee training, development and compensation.
- Proven ability to develop outside staffing partners and creative sourcing channels that drive high volume/high quality applicant flow including social media.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization.
- Ability to plan own work, pay close attention to detail and handle multiple priorities.
- Must be able to travel in and out of regions served, as needed.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software.
