Procurement Analyst (REMOTE) - Active DoD Secret clearance required

This is a remote/telework position but would prefer that the individual be located in the Huntsville area.

We are seeking a IT Procurement Analyst to support our DoD Army customer in Redstone Arsenal, AL - Telework Position. We are seeking a motivated, professional to deliver results.

Candidate will have knowledge of the Army’s Intelligence, Business Operations, Warfighting, and Enterprise Information Environment Mission Areas; and their related IT investment strategies and governance oversight boards as necessary to advise and support AMC’s IT Portfolio Governance activities. The Candidate shall provide supporting analysis for the rationalization and disposition of various IT investments. The Candidate shall perform functions in accordance with government regulations and policies including Army Regulation (AR) 25-1; AR 5-1; DA Pam 25-1-1; AR 70-1 Army Acquisition Policy; DODD 8115.01 IT Portfolio Management; DODI 8115.02 IT Portfolio Management Implementation; Title 10 United States Code Section 2222 Defense Business Systems. The Candidate shall participate in senior leadership forums, working groups, integrated product teams, and meetings. This may include preparing for the meeting, taking notes, writing executive summaries, and making presentations. The Candidate shall attend meetings, workshops and conferences and provide informal analysis, summaries, and meeting minutes, as well as preparing and presenting briefings on the findings of analysis and COA recommendations. The candidate will assist the Government is responding to related official tasks from HQ AMC and HQDA Leadership.

• The Candidate shall provide timely processing of year-of-execution requests to purchase IT hardware, software, and/or services in the Army IT Approval System (ITAS) in coordination with the applicable HQ AMC functional proponent.
• The Candidate shall provide to the government the analysis of weekly workflow status of ITAS requests in the approval process. Metrics shall be provided showing the total number of actions by Command, Mission Area, Domain, and Purchase Type.
• The Candidate shall perform a quarterly and annual review of AMC IT spending requested in ITAS; and provide the Government with a report of results by owning Command, Mission Area, and Domain, including the totals spent on each investment by PEG, MEDP, and APE.
• The Candidate shall provide recommendations to the government in the planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of all ITAS actions for HQAMC.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree Business or related field
• Working knowledge of the Army IT Approval System (ITAS)
• 1 to 3 years of Army procurement experience
• Experience working for the AMC
• Excellent Research skills, especially on government procurement platforms (e.g., USASpending, Beta.SAM, DSBS, federal agency procurement forecasts)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
