New Journey is currently seeking a Product Analyst with our client in their Phoenix, AZ location. This is a 12-month contract position. This position is 100% remote.
Description:
- New Journey is seeking a qualified candidate for a Quality Analyst to help us manage quality control within the mapping pipeline. We are seeking someone who is detail oriented, organized, and familiar with driving laws in the US. Experience with operations, project management, and data analytics is also preferred. The Quality Analyst must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
- Candidates are expected to work PST hours 9 AM to 5 PM, any overtime must be pre-approved.
Responsibilities:
- Execute quality control and quality assurance processes for map data, which includes looking at proprietary maps to validate accuracy
- Execute quality control and quality assurance processes for responding to map issues
- Develop subject matter expertise in mapping standards and work with offshore teams to hold them accountable for meeting those standards
- Lead continuous improvement of quality efforts and create feedback loops to improve the performance of offshore team members
- Analyze mapping and geospatial data to solve complex problems
- Independently identify and escalate issues and challenges; propose and support the implementation of solutions in collaboration with others
- Contribute to tooling documentation, workflow documentation, and training guides
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve existing tools
- Collaborate with other Mapping Team members handling complex problem spaces; including managing priorities of specific mapping projects based on business needs
- Understand team plans, scope, context, priorities, and goals for operational activities
- Adapt to changes in instructions, processes, and team design
- Perform ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- Recent college graduate or 1-2 years of experience
- Experience in data analysis, particularly SQL/Google Sheets/Excel
- Familiarity with US driving laws
- Experience with quality control or quality assurance
- Track-record of using analytical thinking to pose data-driven questions, provide insightful analysis, and define and improve KPIs for continuous program improvement
- Comfortable with technology and ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Ability to think logically about ambiguous problems and solve them collaboratively
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with experience delivering multiple projects of varying lengths while meeting quality standards and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to filter and distill relevant information to the right audience
- Candidates are expected to work PST hours 9AM to 5PM
Nice-to-have Skills Include:
- Experience with geospatial data or mapping systems
- Intermediate - advanced SQL proficiency
- Experience working with offshore workforces
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for up to eight hours per shift
- Ability to use keyboard, mouse, and screen for up to eight hours per shift
- General Vision: Requires the ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye
- Near Vision Acuity: Clarity of vision and ability to recognize features at 20 inches or less with or without corrective glasses/contact lenses
- Field of Vision: Ability to observe an area up or down, left or right while eyes are fixed on a given point
- Depth Perception: Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distance and space relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
- Visual Accommodation: Ability to adjust focus
- Color Vision: Ability to identify colors, including distinguishing red and green
Range: The hourly pay rate range for this position is $34.00 - $35.00/hr. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range is subject to change.
