Wall Street Bound (WSB) is looking for a full time Program Director to support the Founder & CEO as a key team member of a startup workforce development nonprofit with a growing presence in the market. The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing end to end program execution, administration, data tracking and outreach for the organization. The position reports directly to the Head of Operations. We are a small and entrepreneurial organization so it is important that the selected candidate is able to work and thrive in an unstructured work environment and brings a commercial mindset to the job. Only candidates with backgrounds on Wall Street or financial services will be considered and those with commercial online learning programs or business development backgrounds are highly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Provide leadership and coordination in support of robust recruitment, admissions, training, career development, job placement, and alumni engagement with a goal of meeting annual KPIs and supporting a dynamic, strong training operation for each training
- Working closely with the Operations Manager and the volunteer program team to oversee enrollment, graduation, certification and placement KPIs across training/programs, ensuring that each meet org-wide training KPIs, as well as delivering against all employer-specific and funder-specific training commitments
Growth and Implementation
- In partnership with the CEO and VP of Development, assist in development of the strategic vision and annual program and organizational goals that encompasses, as appropriate, plans to diversify training offerings
- Ensure that trainings deliver on all commitments, balancing adaptability and flexibility of training and partner type
- Act as the primarily liaison for community partners, ensuring strong communication, coordination, and delivery on commitments
- Working closely with the Head of Operations to ensure robust utilization of organizational CRM to manage and track KPIs
- Create and cultivate a student pipeline by building relationships with colleges, universities and other nonprofit organizations
Business Development
- Responsible for implementation of WSB programs that carry out the organization’s mission
- Support programmatic revenues (sales) necessary to support the Wall Street Bound mission
- Support VP of Development when generating funding requests and reports
Organization Mission and Strategy
- Ownership of WSB’s mentorship program and volunteer pipeline
- Work closely with the Chief of Learning to streamline curriculum development, improvement and program execution
- Actively engage and energize WSB volunteers, board members, event committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders
- Build and maintain relationships with mission aligned organizations to strategically enhance WSB’s mission (ex: recruitment pipelines, student outreach, training collaborations)
- Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents
- Ensure high-quality delivery of our finance training to WSB students
- Develop and implement new training initiatives in response to client and market demand
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two or more years of financial services industry experience
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial and adaptable
- Outbound prospecting experience including cold calling and emailing adhering to minimum weekly metrics
- High level strategic thinking and planning
- Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission to donors, volunteers and the overall community
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies with diverse cultural backgrounds
- Previous success in establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence including funders, partner agencies and volunteers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
- Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
- Past experience building and managing mentoring programs preferred
This position is a year-round schedule and will include some weekend and evening hours.

(WSB) is a 501(c)3, IRS recognized finance education, training and mentoring “workforce development” nonprofit organization with a core mission to increase diversity on Wall Street and raise exposure and awareness of financial services career opportunities among urban and minority youth.
WSB sources talent from its college and university partners, social media platforms and is supported in part by fees received from corporate partners for delivering its training programs.
