CodaKid is looking to hire top talent to teach courses in using real programming languages and professional cutting-edge technology. We're looking for individuals with a passion for learning, a fun personality, professional work habits, and enthusiasm for working with kids ages 6-15.

The pay rate for CodaKid Instructors is $20 per hour. Hours are flexible. We expect a minimum commitment of teaching of 8 hours per week and a commitment through the end of Summer of 2020. All positions are W-2.

CodaKid is an award-winning kids coding academy that provides paid training, all curricula, and lesson plans.

Responsibilities of a Class Instructor:

• Making programming and designing games fun and exciting for students.
• Managing and teaching a virtual classroom
• Mentoring young learners in expanding their creativity and confidence in computer programming.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have experience and a high level of proficiency with one or more of the following: MIT’s Scratch platform, Modding with Minecraft (Java, Eclipse/Netbeans, Gimp), Python, Javascript, HTML/CSS, 3D Modeling, GameMaker, Mobile App Programming for IOS and Android.
• College-level coursework in computer science
• Experience with working with young learners and a track record in improving student outcomes.
• A passion for encouraging young students in video game design and programming.
• Teaching commitment a minimum of 8 hours per week.
• Ability and patience to work with students of different ages
• Strong communication skills with both children and adults
• A great sense of humor is strongly encouraged
