Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm)
The role you’ll contribute:
The Provider Data Specialist is responsible for updating and maintaining the Central Florida Division provider directory. Effectively coordinates and inputs information across multiple data sources related to connected network initiatives, and monitors, prepares, and compiles key statistical reports for ongoing continued process monitoring. Responsible for ensuring completion and validation of all information before entering data into systems. Proactively identifies best practices and recommends process improvements. Position reports to the CFD Provider Directory Manager.

- Collect, validate and input provider data into systems in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor and manage data changes and updates
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information from stakeholders in a timely manner
- Maintain directory standards and network management policies
- Create and manage data reports and project files
- Evaluates data integrity and addresses identified problems, including performing regular quality audits
- Communicate and collaborate with data partners regularly to ensure accuracy and timeliness of updates across systems (MSOW, Atlas, etc.) and to extract ad hoc reports from those systems
- Prepare data for meetings and presentations as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed to support consumer and connected network initiative
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Technology or related field, or combination of high school diploma and at least two years of related experience
- Experience working in data entry, quality assurance and maintaining detailed information
- Experience in project management
- Experience maintaining a professional level of privacy in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Experience in healthcare or hospital credentialing
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
- Experience working to provide business intelligence or decision support
- Working knowledge of physician networks, physician practices, hospital operations and ambulatory operations
