Description
Job Purpose:
The Reimbursement Coordinator is responsible for all coordination of payment posting, balancing and monitoring/auditing of the payment posting/processing functions between Healthcare Administrative Partners, LLC, (HAP), the vendor and the client representatives for all assigned clients to achieve complete and accurate deposit posting.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Handle all reimbursement duties for at least one client with minimal complexity and in training to receive full client load.
- Coordinate with clients, staff and supervisor to resolve payment questions and issues.
- Responsible for responding to vendor questions and daily queries from internal departments within twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
- Verify payment postings are performed accurately and timely for all payments, denials, refunds, recoupments, adjustments and correspondence daily.
- Review daily bank deposit which includes bank statements, emails from client and all other methods client provides deposit information by
- Ensure all appropriate payments and electronic fund transfers are properly recorded on appropriate spreadsheet.
- Reconcile daily and monthly postings against audit journals, balancing to cash logs and bank statement.
- Monitor outstanding variance of unposted cash to ensure end of month deadlines can be met, reporting to supervisor when variance is greater than forty-eight hours of un-posted cash.
- Monitor and balance payment and cash logs.
- Resolve all balancing issues between payment log and deposits to Centricity and bank statement.
- Work with Reimbursement Liaison to resolve complex cash posting issues.
- Resolve all postings in Hold Account following documented procedures.
Additional Functions:
- Provide posting/balancing documentation to supervisor as requested.
- Provide client updates of the cash report.
- Take accountability for personal productivity and quality output.
- Develop and implement improvement plans when output fails to meet targets.
- Maintain target or higher productivity rating consistently.
- Take and pass all training courses, as assigned, within given deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Strong decision-making ability.
- Ability to solve complex mathematical computations.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in Libre or Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work under deadlines and time restraints.
- Ability to plan organize and prioritize work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to read, interpret and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Have strong understanding of operating a personal computer, computer system navigation and good data entry skills.
- Ability to accept and utilize supervisory feedback in a positive manner.
- Demonstrated understanding and compliance with HIPAA privacy requirements.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
