LOCATION

IFG Companies is hiring in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina and on a case-by-case basis in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia . Applicants must reside in one of these states to be hired. Remote and flexible work arrangements are provided to all employees based on manager approval.
SALARY RANGE

The expected salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 and subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Company.
POSITION SUMMARY

The Risk Analyst position will be responsible for leveraging data analytics, risk and reinsurance management skills to assist International Financial Group, Inc. (IFG or the Company) and its subsidiaries in the evaluation and management of property and liability exposures. In addition, this position will provide support reinsurance operations along with other risk-related projects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the ProCede reinsurance platform for IFG Companies reinsurance treaty structures and analyze Premium and Loss cession.
• Supporting the front and middle office reinsurance operations unit functions, including, but not limited to performing the following tasks
• Perform treaty analyses
• Assist in processing reinsurance notices and billing;
• Assist in the application of cash recoveries on reinsurance bills;
• Assist in ceded reinsurance reconciliations;
• Assist in developing reinsurance recoverable aging reports;
• Working with reinsurance accounting on reinsurance booking questions
• Collaborate with IT, Finance and Actuarial units to reconcile ceded Premium and Loss data and reporting.
• Support additional reinsurance administrative activities
• Assist the ERM unit in performing additional analysis and reporting as required on the Business, Investments and Operational risks.
• Participate in or lead risk related activities with dotted line accountability to Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
• Assist the ERM unit in performing additional analysis and reporting as required on Business, and Operational risks.
• Assisting with other risk related studies or matters for ERM, Compliance or Product Management, as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting established deadlines
• Ability to demonstrate planning, project management, and organizational skills
• Strong computer skills (SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint) with demonstrated high accuracy output
• Strong problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated expertise or experience in property-casualty reinsurance, specifically in treaty analysis

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
• 3+ years of experience in reinsurance, preferably in Property & Casualty
• Expertise in performing reinsurance treaty analysis

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Physical demands are considered to be that of an office environment, climate controlled, with minimal physical exertion. This position requires prolonged sitting, ability to utilize a computer and interactions with others meetings or via phone.
