Summary:
The Relationship Director is a senior level position that is responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships while growing revenue with our largest Mutual Fund Administrator clients, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction through development and implementation of multi-year strategies, regular client meetings and discussions covering service levels, system utilization, client retention, product offerings, economics, and KPIs.
The Relationship Director is viewed as trusted advisors and works closely with the Administrator to continually assess the rapidly changing business environment in order to provide expertise and guidance so our the client can focus on growing their assets under administration.
The Relationship Director also partners closely with sales and solution services to uncover and respond to opportunities to expand current or introduce new products and services to the client. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of seven years of related Fund Administration and/or Financial Reporting experience; have experience in a client relationship / account manager role; possess strong verbal and written communications skills, knowledge of the mutual fund servicing industry and competitive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present regular status and progress reports on active projects, KPI’s and account economics to senior and C-level executives both internally and at the client.
- Research client's products and existing services to identify new use cases or sales opportunities for our solutions.
- Proactively make recommendations to optimize client workflows and maintain and increase efficiencies from DFIN solutions.
- Partner with the client as well as internal teams to develop and execute multi-year strategies and project plans which ensure successful adoption of DFIN solutions and ongoing client satisfaction.
- Make the client aware of other DFIN products, services and actions that may lead to greater success for the client, and enhanced revenue for DFIN
- Communicate regularly with client relative to upcoming and ongoing regulatory change and DFINs response to same.
- Build a deep understanding of client priorities and strategic objectives.
- Expand existing and new working relationships across the client’s organization.
- Work closely with the Sales team and Key Account Manager to accurately budget and forecast your assigned accounts.
- Coordinate interdepartmental meetings to facilitate open communication among internal personnel to effectively develop strategies and solutions to meet clients' requests.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of fund administration with financial reporting experience preferred
- 4 or more years of client/relationship management experience
- B.A or B.S degree with a concentration in accounting or finance strongly preferred, will consider equivalent related retirement industry experience (advance degrees or CPA or CFA designations are a plus)
- Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry and an understanding of operations, legal or accounting principles which impact the mutual fund industry

This is a remote, work-from-home position with preference given to candidates in the Boston area.
