What You’ll Do
- Travel to Agricultural employer worksite to do outreach to employer and migrant and seasonal farm workers
- Providing MSFW's and employers with OMJ center services on-site at agricultural employers/temp housing
- Disseminating and gathering information via fliers and/or surveys to agricultural employers and MSFW's
- Assist employers with job orders, including the Agricultural Recruitment System
- Update travel log for use of state-owned vehicle (or expense reports for non-state-owned vehicles)
- Data entry into ARIES from prior employer or job seeker outreach.
- Complete any apparent violation or complaint forms (if any occurred)
- Update outreach logs.
- Checking MSFW inbox for alerts from job seekers or employers and following up
- Phone follow-up with agricultural employers (using agricultural employer list) for preparation for up-coming season
- Data entry into ARIES from prior employer or job seeker phone contact.
- Answering live calls from MSFW hotline and following up on voicemails.
- Planning and setting up future phone contact (or potential outreach) for the next week and enter data in the outreach log and calendar.
- Compile monthly report data for SMA monthly report.
- Complete any mandated trainings, IPPs, Meetings, misc. tasks.
- Assist PDS/PDM with system innovation efforts.
- Enter daily hours into Kronos
Schedule:
- This position is considered 100% remote. However, during peak season there is an expectation of travel 4 days a week within the assigned region
- Regular hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, however a flex schedule may be available based upon operational need, between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pmo Peak Season (Appx end of Feb to beginning of Oct)
- 4 days a week travel to agricultural employer worksites to provide on-site services to employers and MSFW’s
- 1 day a week remote (at home)
- Non-Peak Season
- 5 days a week remote (at home)
Travel:

Qualifications
Necessary Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to have difficult conversations.
- Self-motivated team player that will work independently while adhering to all policies and agency guidelines.
The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education or experience sections of the application.
Option 1:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide, calculate fractions, decimals & percentages, & read, speak & write common English vocabulary
- AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in office practices & procedures
- AND 3 months training or 3 months experience in interviewing or questioning customers to solicit pertinent information in order to provide certain services
- AND 3 months training or 3 months experience in public relations/customer service
- AND demonstrate skill to type data accurately using personal computer keyboard with typing speed of 25 net words per minute
- AND demonstrate proficiency in using personal computer with windows application of 3.1 or equivalent
- Must provide own transportation
- In addition to preceding, applicants for positions in telephone registration centers must demonstrate ability to respond effectively to continuous succession of timed telephone calls to gather information while simultaneously entering data into computer system using personal computer keyboard with windows application of 3.1 or equivalent.
OR Option 2:
- The equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 29. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $22.02 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
