Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
Oversees remote teller operation and ensures Exceptional Service and the Perfect Teller Transaction are always performed. Responsible for coaching, developing and leading remote teller staff to exceed sales and service expectations. Assists remote tellers with various member transactions. Works in conjunction with the ATM department, 3rd party partners, and Branch Management to ensure Integrated Teller Machines are adequality functioning and supplied with currency, coin, receipt paper, etc. Ensures members questions are answered correctly and handles member complaints. Conducts quality checks and maintains a satisfactory service level. Serves as trainer and SME on all teller operational tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Manages, develops, and mentors remote tellers. Ensures tellers consistently perform the Perfect Teller Transaction.
- Composes and delivers counseling forms when teller performance is unsatisfactory.
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining cash level for ITMs. Also maintains cash insurability limits.
- Responsible for updating Cash Management and ITM Reports.
- Trains teller staff and remote teller staff in all areas of, member services, products and services, operations, and interpersonal skills. Sets mutual goals with the staff and holds developmental meetings to achieve higher levels of skills, knowledge, and proficiency.
- Monitors remote teller transactions for accuracy and quality.
- Contacts vendors for all technical and hardware issues.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions.
- Performs routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions.
- Presents and explains Essential services and products to members including but not limited to eligibility of membership, type of accounts, interest rates, special promotions, current dividend rates, branch locations, office hours and phone numbers. Maintains a thorough understanding of all credit union loan and deposit products and is capable of educating remote tellers on those products.
- Completes CTRs and UARs as needed.
- Creates remote teller schedule to ensure member transactions are processed timely.
- Answers questions and solves problems for staff and members by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring party.
- Resolves complaints and problematic issues regarding members and tellers.
- Addresses disciplinary and/or performance problems according to Credit Union policy and provides accurate and timely documentation to the HR Director.
- Actively train others to cross-sell Essential’s products and services.
- Assists other personnel and staff as needed.
- Ensures staff attends meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Maintains a clean, secure, and organized work area.
- Stays abreast of all policy changes and revisions.
- Attends robbery and security training annually.
- Secures the drawer key always.
- Maintains written procedures for position.
- Follows regulatory procedures in accordance with Federal and State Regulations.
- Ensures Bank Secrecy Act, Consumer Identification Policy, Reg CC, and OFAC policies are understood and adhered to by all tellers.
- Fulfills other duties as assigned.
Major Accountabilities
