Job Summary

Building Efficiency Resources (aka "BER") is a national energy efficiency training and quality assurance organization. As a third-party RESNET Quality Assurance and Training Provider, our mission is to provide our clients with industry-leading technical and customer support, while maintaining the highest standards in our industry.

Responsibilities and Duties

BER is seeking an experienced professional within the RESNET home energy rating system (HERS) industry to serve as a Quality Assurance Designee (QAD) and Training Professional. This individual shall support our quality assurance process and shall serve as a technical representative to our clients.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates shall possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Certified HERS Rater with experience with a minimum of 40 Confirmed ratings
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in customer service and sales
• High degree of computer literacy, including fluency in Ekotrope, REM/Rate, MS Office, etc.
• Knowledge and experience with the tools of the trade (blower door, duct blaster, IR, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of building science, construction, and energy efficiency industry standards & programs
• Team player and ready to work in a fast work environment
• Ability to think critically, problem solve, prioritize & efficient time management

Additional preferred qualifications include:

• Project management experience
• Manual J, S, D and T experience
• Certified RESNET QAD and/or Trainer
• Adult education and/or field training experience
• Infrared Thermographer
• BPI certifications
• Energy efficiency training experience
• Commercial energy auditing/modeling experience
• Energy Star V3.1 certification
• ESMFNC certification
• Remote work experience

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Given that BER is a national company which conducts the majority of business virtually, our employees enjoy the ability to work from the comfort of their home office. However, travel will be required for the quality assurance and training field work components if this position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
