Meet Rugal

Rugal is a beautiful, funny, and sweet 10-11 month-old Hound puppy who is looking for his forever home - preferably with a fenced-in backyard and another doggy sibling to keep up with his playful personality!

Rugal is currently located in Baltimore, MD, but can be adopted outside of the state of MD.

Rugal is a sweet, loving, energetic 10 to 11-month-old puppy who is friends with everyone he meets. He especially loves people and other dogs but is a little too curious about cats who are not socialized to dogs, so we'd recommend a home without cats for this sweet boy. While cats might not be his strength, he would thrive in an active household with a yard to explore and run around in and, ideally, another dog to play with. He's quite submissive to other dogs and has gotten along with pretty much every dog he's met - big or small, they're all friends to Rugelach. He is very active and loves to run around, so a good sized fenced-in yard or a family who is active outdoors would be ideal for him.

He's incredibly charming and intelligent, picking up new commands in a matter of minutes. He's fully housebroken, crate trained, and knows a number of commands (sit, stay, here, drop it, lay down, paw/shake, off). He's also neutered, up to date on all his shots, and doesn't mind being handled by people (ie. trimming his nails, brushing his teeth, etc). He hasn't displayed any aggression at all and doesn't mind if you pet him or mess with his food while eating - truly a gentleman. Once he's all tired out for the day, he enjoys a good cuddle on the couch before bed and prefers to be around his people.

As of April, Rugal has completed and graduated from Adult, Class 1 dog training at Petco! He learned some new tips and tricks - including heel, wait, leave-it, drop-it, and high-five! He has also excelled in his leash manners!

If you're looking for a smart, loving and enthusiastic puppy to join your active family, he's your pup! He's always excited to greet you when you walk in or wake up, and loves a good play session or a long walk.
