Our client is a leading wholesale produce company serving Wisconsin and Illinois. They specialize in providing high-quality produce to Restaurants, Schools, Assisted Living Facilities, Hospitals, Corporate clients, and Caterers. They are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative(s) to join their team.
- Identify and prospect potential customers in the assigned territory, including Restaurants, Schools, Assisted Living Facilities, Hospitals, Corporate clients, and Caterers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
- Conduct regular sales visits to clients, presenting our produce offerings, discussing their needs, and negotiating sales agreements.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement effective sales strategies and initiatives to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Generate leads and actively pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in sales, preferably in the wholesale produce industry or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key decision-makers.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory to meet clients and develop new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong drive to succeed.
- Familiarity with the local food industry and knowledge of produce is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM software or sales tools is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
