Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a Sales Specialist to support our Vegetable Seeds business in the Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina territory. This position is responsible for development, planning and implementation of sales initiatives aimed at maintaining and increasing business in the assigned area. This is a remote role, but the candidate should reside in the Southern Georgia area.

As a Sales Specialist, you create chemistry by…

• Developing sales strategies for assigned customers, potential customers and updating annual sales forecast.
• Calling on customers to sell products and presenting recommendations for product introduction.
• Participating in local organizations to maintain awareness of industry issues.
• Formulating and recommending strategies for achieving long and short business plans for key accounts and assigned territory/market.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-3 Years of ag sales experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of vegetable and/or agriculture business.
• Understands the Vegetable Seed Vision, Must Win Battles and Key Enablers
• Strong Agronomic skills.
• Computer skills & CRM usage.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of larger market issues.
• Problem solving through analytical thinking and judgments with some guidance in complex situations.
• Depending on candidate location, day travel could be up to 50% and 20% overnight travel.
