Salesforce Software Engineer (Corporate Information Systems Department)

As a Software Engineer supporting Marketing & Financial Services Cloud Engineer at Amica Mutual Insurance Company, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our marketing initiatives and insurance operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement effective solutions using Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Financial Services Cloud. Your expertise in both platforms will enable you to create innovative campaigns and optimize business processes that resonate with our target audience and drive business growth.
A starting annual salary between $110,637 – $170,454 based on level of previous experience. In addition, hired applicants will be eligible for the company’s annual variable incentive paid based on company performance. Additional commission opportunities may apply to customer facing sales and service representatives.
Experience Level: This position is open to mid, senior, and lead levels of experience.
Location: Open to full-time remote work, or hybrid onsite in our Lincoln, RI office.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, Eastern Time business hours. Potential for rotational off-hours support.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Financial Services Cloud solutions that meet business requirements and objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing, IT, financial services, and other internal teams to create and optimize marketing automation workflows and financial services processes.
- Develop personalized, dynamic content using tools such as Email Studio, Journey Builder, Content Builder, and Interaction Studio within the Marketing Cloud.
- Write and maintain custom scripts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AMPScript, and SQL to enhance the functionality of marketing campaigns and financial services solutions.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs for seamless integration with external systems and data sources.
- Provide technical expertise and thought leadership on best practices, new features, and enhancements within Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Financial Services Cloud.
- Monitor and analyze campaign and process performance to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge, and to share expertise with team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- 3-5 years of experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, specifically in Email Studio, Journey Builder, Content Builder, and Interaction Studio.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification.
- Salesforce Platform App Builder or Salesforce Platform Developer I certification preferred.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AMPScript, and SQL.
- Extensive experience with integrating data into Marketing Cloud using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, industry standards, and financial services operations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with property and casualty insurance industry is a plus.
