Expected salary range of $85,500 to $95,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
This role offers remote flexibility. Fully remote candidates must reside in the USA and be able to able to work EST or CST time zone schedule.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior Analyst Volume Management position is a critical role within Constellation that works within a team-based environment analyzing customer usage, forecasts, weather variations, pricing, and tariff regulations to make effective decisions to mitigate risk and penalties to customer and Constellation. The Senior Analyst must have the ability to achieve desired results within tight deadlines, during critical days, and adapt to ever-changing energy industry guidelines and internal systems and processes. Senior Analysts demonstrate expertise in multiple markets and serve as a coach to Associates and Analyst, and support Management as necessary.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Forecast customers' natural gas consumption utilizing historical usage, production schedules, weather models, and trends. Adjust and nominate deliveries as needed to stay in compliance with tariff balancing regulations, and to mitigate associated risk to Constellation and Customer. (20%)
- Support multiple secondary markets by demonstrating ability to perform monthly or day-to-day responsibilities in the absence of team members; (10%)
- Complete monthly volumetric reconciliations between utilities and CNEG gas systems; maintain proper documentation to ensure SOX/Audit compliance and accurate reporting of Accounting financials. (10%)
- Effortless Customer Experience � address phone calls, emails and outstanding Customer Care tickets swiftly to ensure long-term customer satisfaction with Constellation. (10%)
- Responsible for the accurate entry and data integrity maintenance within Constellation's systems - customer attributes, supply requirements, customer nominations, customer usage and billed volume data. (10%)
- Develop efficiencies as needed to improve markets (decrease touches to data, allowing more customers to be managed utilizing fewer resources) (10%)
- Demonstrate a deeper working knowledge of products offered, utility tariffs and customer contracts to ensure a solid understanding of the governing rules and regulations that impact both our customers and Constellation. (5%)
- Critical Day Analysis - take appropriate action to ensure Constellation delivers the required volume of gas to the citygate during a critical day (OFO, Force Majeure); work closely with traders and schedulers to ensure they remain in compliance with the varying utility requirements during these times. Notify Sales/Account Management of critical days for timely and appropriate notification to customer. (5%)
- Reconcile Constellation Utility pool invoices - review, address any discrepancies with utility/pipe, approve and submit for timely payment. Manage customer owned transportation invoices, as applicable. (5%)
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with utility contacts; stay abreast of any proposed rate cases or changes. (5%)
- Participate in after hours and weekend on-call rotation as assigned (5%)
- Special projects as assigned (5%)
JOB SCOPE
- Works under minimal supervision, relying on knowledge, skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
- Collaborative partnership and professional communication of all pertinent information across multiple functions to ensure timely enrollments, physical gas delivery, timely and accurate customer invoicing
- Remain in compliance with FERC and utility guidelines/tariffs to mitigate operational risk, reduce costs and prevent financial penalties.
- Ensure volumetric tie-outs are complete by Accounting close deadlines to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure completion of SOX key controls and document accordingly
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of nine to twelve years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient Excel/technical skills
- Communicates, cooperates and collaborates effectively with peers and key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Proven Problem solving and decision-making capabilities
- Demonstrate flexibility and a sense of urgency with the ability to work under daily deadlines in a high-pressure environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Four year relevant degree and Minimum of five to eight years of relevant experience
- Expert MS Excel/technical skills
- Pivot Tables, Vlookups, IF statements, Macros
