Senior Billing Representatives are responsible for ongoing account maintenance, data entry of enrollment applications, review and reconciliation of premium billing invoices and provide superior customer service to internal/external clients. Be a resource to Management by being able to find and implement solutions to assist team members as well as mentor peers.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am – 4:30pm based on time zone. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a book of business which includes monitoring and collecting monthly premiums, member reconciliation and aging analysis.
- Interact with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and work through specific billing discrepancies
- Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications
- Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed
- Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables
- Including quality assurance and audit of billing activities
- Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service experience solving customer problems
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and Billing experience
- Ability to create formulas, filter, copy, paste within Microsoft Excel
- Ability to send emails, schedule meetings, operate calendar within Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work 8am – 4:30pm based on time zone. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of Accounts Receivable and Billing experience
- 1+ years of work experience in a professional environment with defined measurements and goals
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
