Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Compensation Specialist administers the implementation and administration of compensation programs such as wage programs, base salary administration, short and long-term incentives, job evaluations, and leads salary surveys to support the company's business strategy. The Senior Compensation Specialist also collaborates with compensation peers and provides support for subsidiary entities that span across all business segments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide day to day support of compensation needs and coordinating closely with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders
- Actively participate in the successful administration of regular compensation activities, including administration of the annual compensation process, equity program, and job pricing activities.
- Support development, communication, and maintenance of compensation philosophy, programs, and policies
- Conduct compensation benchmark assessments, actively seeking market intelligence and industry-specific data to inform appropriate solutions for assigned clients
- Conduct ad hoc compensation analyses and support HR and compensation related projects
- Analyze compensation data and provide insights
- Support the enterprise compensation process in conjunction with Finance and Accounting
- Identify opportunities and propose additional controls, process standardization, or automation
- Support Deferred Compensation Annual Enrollment process

SALARY: $65k - $80.5k / Depending on Experience
Required Skills
- PREFERED LOCATIONS: Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston
- 5+ years’ experience in administering compensation and equity programs, Executive Compensation or Sales compensation experience is a plus
- Associates degree preferred; High School diploma required
- Business-oriented mindset with an understanding of financial concepts
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple complex projects across a variety of stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy and details
- Strong aptitude for process design and continuous improvement
- Ability to explain complex issues effectively; strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
- Ability to understand and effectively collaborate with stakeholders from various disciplines and other business segments (e.g., HR, Finance, Legal)
- Interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of software, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn third-party systems
